All the windows manufactured at Maclyn Consorvation Joinery are made to order and to your specification. Sash windows will be made with required number of opening sashes and required glazing.
We have done work on historic commercial buildings, listed buildings, churches and public buildings as well as private residences. Our clients include the Office of Public Works, City of Dublin VEC, Dublin City Council, ESB, Dunlaoghaire Rathdown County Council, Dept of Defence and many others.
Conservation joinery combines expert craftsmanship with modern technology to produce a window that will perform at every level. We use the Schlegel Q-LON weatherseal system to ensure our windows are weather-proof in all conditions.
Q-LON Weatherseal is designed to cope with the extreme variations of temperature that we can experience in this climate. As window structures expand and contract due to changes in temperature, Q-LON is designed in such as way that it continues to flex with the window and thereby maintain the seal.
Pile weatherstripping takes on a permanent set when compressed and therefore cannot maintain its seal, leading to penetration by noise and elements. Q-LON's superiority over brush pile is that it does not lose its flexibility even when accidentally hit with paint.
